Celebrating Our CYSA Graduates
Â鶹ÊÓƵ San Antonio celebrated our 90 AmeriCorps members on Friday, May 29 in our first-ever virtual Graduation Ceremony. We were joined by corps members’ family and friends, CYSA board members, Champions, partner teachers, principals and community leaders. Audible cheers of pride were felt as each ACM was called by name to recognize and celebrate their service accomplishments. Like prior CYSA graduation ceremonies, a highlight of the afternoon was recognizing the AmeriCorps Member of the Year Award, which went to Amir Blair, a first-year AmeriCorps member serving students at Sam Houston High School. The celebration concluded with a farewell video, which we invite you to watch here.
While we would have loved to celebrate and appreciate our Corps members in person, graduation was an unforgettable experience thanks to those who joined us online. Thank you, AmeriCorps members, for dedicating a year of service to San Antonio students, schools, and community and for navigating the end of your unique service year with excellence and leadership. Our incoming Corps stands on the shoulders of giants!
