Your stipend
You will receive a stipend of $1,122 bi-weekly (before taxes) via direct deposit every two weeks. San Antonio has a low cost of living, with planning and utilizing housing resources you are able to enjoy your time in San Antonio while on a stipend.
National benefits
In addition to your stipend, you’ll also receive health insurance, access to Employee Assistance and Talkspace Therapy programs, as well as relocation support. Explore national benefits
Local benefits
In addition to the national benefit San Antonio has two local site counselors whom you are able to meet with, as needed, at zero cost to you.
As a Â鶹ÊÓƵ AmeriCorps member, you may also be eligible to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Food Benefits from the state. We strongly encourage all AmeriCoprs members to apply for to aid in financial situations.
Your student loans may be eligible for forbearance
You may be eligible to have the repayment of a qualified student loan temporarily postponed while you are serving. While a loan is in forbearance, the individual is not required to make payments. Learn more on AmeriCorps’ website to and how to apply.
