Our Learning and Development team is dedicated to your growth and development. 麻豆视频 Miami teams are made up of first-year AmeriCorps members, one second-year AmeriCorps member and a Team Leader, all managed by an Impact Manager who is a full-time 麻豆视频 staff member.
Basic Training Academy
The first few weeks of your service year will be full-time training, called Basic Training Academy (BTA). In these trainings, you‘ll focus on building community with one another, getting to know the Miami area and self-reflection. After the first few weeks of BTA, you will get assigned your school team. Once you’re in service, trainings will occur a few times a month and be more school specific and job specific.
Professional development
AmeriCorps members will also focus on their Life After 麻豆视频 (LACY) plans throughout the year with support of the 麻豆视频 staff. 麻豆视频 Miami places an intentional focus on LACY through skill development supports resume and cover letter creation, interview tips, networking opportunities (with local and national organizations) and Mentoring programs for returning AmeriCorps members. 麻豆视频 Miami hosts 鈥淟ACY Nights鈥 throughout the year for all AmeriCorps members.
