Celebrating service at Ripples of Hope
On Friday, March 29, 2019, we welcomed Â鶹ÊÓƵ Orlando sponsors and champions to celebrate another year of service at our annual fundraising event, Ripples of Hope. This is an evening dedicated to celebrating the selfless dedication of young leaders who are working to transform our community one student at a time. The program included Sr. Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Communication for Universal Parks & Resorts, Donna Mirus Bates alongside Â鶹ÊÓƵ Orlando AmeriCorps members Hilda Lule, Jim Leahy and Monique St. Fleur, who shared why they choose to serve in a classroom all day, every day, all year.
We were also proud to feature Brandan Louis, who shared an inspiring story of how Â鶹ÊÓƵ Orlando transformed his freshman year of high school and his future by providing the educational support he needed to finish high school strong.
Brandan shared, “entering high school, I was completely lost. Then I met my first Â鶹ÊÓƵ mentors… who motivated me to excel academically and to stand out from others through a positive light.†To learn more about Brandan’s story, .
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Orlando would like to thank all our sponsors, donors, and event staff for supporting this event, and a special thanks to our presenting sponsor Universal Orlando Resort for their continued commitment and support.
