Celebrating Another Year of Service
We are proud to celebrate another successful year of service!
During the 2019-2020 school year, 80 Â鶹ÊÓƵ Orlando AmeriCorps membersÌýfulfilled a year–long commitment toÌýserve as near–peer tutors and mentors to students in eight O°ù±ô²¹²Ô»å´ÇÌýschools. Although the year did not end as planned, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Orlando AmeriCorps, in partnership withÌýOCPSÌýand school administration, shifted to a virtual training and service model to provide social, emotional and academic support to students while schools were closed. Â鶹ÊÓƵ Orlando served more than 350 students through virtual programming, social media engagement and virtual office hours, that provided students with the opportunity to talk to a trusted mentor.
