Wells Fargo Donates 900 Backpacks to Students

 

 

 

 

 

Students First, Collaboration Always. °Â±ðÌýknowÌýthat through partnerships and aÌý³¦´Ç±ô±ô±ð³¦³Ù¾±±¹±ðÌýfocus on helping studentsÌýsucceed, we all thrive.ÌýThanks to a grant provided by Wells Fargo, a longtime supporter of A Gift for Teaching and sponsors ofÌý10ÌýÂ鶹ÊÓƵ AmeriCorpsÌýmembers serving atÌýJudson B.ÌýWalker Middle School, we we°ù±ðÌýable toÌýcome together toÌýgift 900 backpacks for students at WalkerÌý– ready for them when they returnedÌýto school.ÌýÌý

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grow, Wells Fargo has used their resources to help bring relief to our communities by quickly deploying relief efforts, supporting nonprofits and small businesses. Wells Fargo has also helped support COVID-19 needs by allowing flexibility in the repurposing of their grants awarded to local nonprofits andÌýÌýthe needs that affect people in the areas of small business, financial health, and housing. Three areas that are critical to COVID-19 recovery.Ìý

More about A Gift for Teaching: A Gift For Teaching (AGFT) is Central Florida’s primary provider of free school supplies to teachers for their students. With a mission to empower teachers to inspire future leaders, AGFT has distributed more than $135 million worth of essential supplies since 1998. The GreatÌýBigÌýBackpackÌýBuildÌýafforded AGFT a way to bring community partners together to fill more than 12,000Ìýbackpacks with learning tools for the new school year. Thanks to long-time supporter Wells Fargo, 900 of theÌýbackpacks are being distributed to students at Walker Middle School.
