Orlando Health Sponsors Corps Wellness
鶹Ƶ Orlandoexcited to announce a newpartnership withOrlando Health in support of corps wellness. Each school year,we develop acohort of young adultsɳcommit a year of service to students across eight OCPS partner schools. Theytutor and mentorstudentsall day, every day–typicallyproviding1,700+ hours to the communityduring their service year.
Withtheadditional wellness supportprovided by Orlando Health,鶹Ƶ cancontinue todevelop and support the corpsin theiryear of service to students.Funding from Orlando Health includes support of health and wellness training for80 AmeriCorps membersincluding a wellness challenge,opportunitiesto learn directly from Orlando Health leadership, as well as first aid and CPR training for the incoming corps to better meet the health needs of thousands of Orlando students.
“At Orlando Health, we fully understand that in order to successfully serve others we must first take care of ourselves, so it is an honor to support 鶹Ƶ and the amazing work that AmeriCorps members do for our community,” said Antwan Williams, Administrator, Allied Health & Support Services at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Williams also serves on the 鶹Ƶ Orlandosite advisoryboard.
Orlando Health has cared for Central Florida for morethan 100 years. Through this partnership, they extend their healthcare services beyond the walls of their hospitals, making a profounddifference in the lives of the individuals and communities webothserve.
