A note in honor of AmeriCorps Appreciation Month
We wanted to write this note in recognition of AmeriCorps Appreciation Month with the understanding that all of us, including you—our talented, inspiring, resilient corps—are experiencing an unprecedented challenge brought about by COVID-19. It is with the deepest gratitude that the entire Â鶹ÊÓƵ community—staff, alumni, partners and investors—thanks you for all you have done, and continue to do, in support of your students, communities and classrooms. The impact you’ve had in the lives of your students, alongside the steadfast work of teachers and parents, is something you should take pride in.
During this difficult time, we want to encourage you to continue to lead with empathy, kindness and an open heart. And while, as a nation, we’re unsure of what lies ahead, we’re certain that you will continue to find ways to support to your communities.

Though you may not be able to meet with your students in person right now, know that while you’re navigating this new unique way of serving that your presence still matters—perhaps now more than ever.  As you move forward in your service year over the next three months, our hope is that you not only continue to practice care for your community but that you also practice self-care. Your mental, emotional and physical health are top priority.
So again, we can’t begin to thank you enough this AmeriCorps Member Appreciation Month. You continue to inspire us through the care and commitment that you extend to our communities and your example of service to a cause greater than oneself—a goal many of us are striving for at this uncertain moment.
As the heart of this organization, we simply could not do this work without you. Thank you.
