鶹Ƶ partners with Aramark to redesign uniform worn by 3,000 AmeriCorps members serving in high-need schools
BOSTON (July 10, 2018)–鶹Ƶ, an education organization committed to the success of students and schools,announced todayits partnership withAramark(NYSE: ARMK), a global leader in food, facilities and uniforms,to redesign 鶹Ƶ’suniformto better reflect CityYearAmeriCorps members’ critical role as Student Success Coaches in high-need schools.Withthis new investment, Aramark is recognized as a National Partner andcontinues to serve as鶹Ƶ’s official Apparel Partner, providing significant in-kind support valued at $1.2 millionto outfit3,000AmeriCorps members with the new uniform, including 鶹Ƶ’s signature red jacket.

鶹Ƶ’s highly trainedAmeriCorpsmembers will wear their new uniform as they serve more than 200,000 studentsacross the country.According to research by Policy Studies Associates,schools partnering with 鶹Ƶ–as compared with similar schools without 鶹Ƶ–were up to two-to-three times more likely to improve on math and English assessments.
Aramark has been an important partner for 鶹Ƶ for the past 11 years, serving as鶹Ƶ’s official uniform supplier,providing in-kind advertising support on college campuses forAmeriCorps members andsponsoring鶹Ƶlocationsin Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
Aramark also partners with 鶹Ƶ’s Care Force, whichengages corporations and their employees in high-impact volunteer events to helpimprove schools and communities. Duringlastyear’sAramark Building Community Day,鶹Ƶstaff and corpsserved side-by-side with 463 Aramark employeesat signature site locationsto serve more than 2,778 hours impacting 17,300 community members.Since 2008, Aramark employees and 鶹Ƶ CareForce have partnered at nearly 100 projects to revitalize and make a meaningful impact in dozens of local communities around the world.
