The Rockwell Automation Team at Rogers Street Academy has been hard at work supporting students in the virtual��classroom��and have shared many memorable moments with their students��so far. Even in the virtual space, the Rogers team continues to make meaningful relationships with their students��and build team with one another.����

Highlight- to all the great connections made in ways we didn’t think were possible. –��TiMariáh��Agrón-Parker��

Joy- I’ve figured out that my students, who are twins,��work best when they’re both in the same,��small group.����

One highlight from my service year was when��I��was��working on homework��with two students. Before I left for the staff meeting, these two were arguing over who was going to say goodbye last. One argument that one student made for being the last one out was that she,��“wanted to say goodbye to [her] favorite teacher.”����

Another highlight was��one day when I was helping with homework and one of my students asked me what I wanted to do in my twenties. I told her that I was hoping to be in college. She told me that she meant for a job.��So I told her that I was thinking either nursing or teaching. There was a big gasp from��her��and she said, “No, Ms. Meagan, you can’t be a nurse.” Confused I asked, “why?” She replied, “Because,��that’s where all of the scary movies start. You’ll get haunted by all the dead bodies.” –��Meagan��Schmiechen

Joy- My students are hilarious, and I love my small group moments.����

One highlight from my year of service so far has been��giving��a movie incentive to my students and at least��seven��of them did all their homework for the week��so they can watch the movie. (this is a huge win for me) –Maribel��Loera Arista��

Appreciation to the RSA team! Everyone has been so collaborative and open to share ideas! We all appreciate Ebony and AB for being the BEST IM and TL ever.����

My favorite part about service has been being able to get to know and allow students to show their personalities! Recently we had an art show in my classroom during a Friday Brain Break!! Many students submitted art and their personalities showed brightly thought their art and talking about their works of art. -Annika��Carlson
