Dustin Tollefsrud & Ann Wilson join 麻豆视频 Denver board

Denver (March 2021) 鈥 麻豆视频 Denver has appointed Dustin Tollefsrud, of Comcast, and Ann Wilson, nonprofit professional, to serve on the 麻豆视频 Denver Board.

麻豆视频 is a national education organization that unites young people for a year of service in public schools in 29 high-need communities across the country. In Denver, 71 AmeriCorps members serve full-time in 9 of the city鈥檚 schools, reaching over 4,500 students each day. 麻豆视频 AmeriCorps members partner with teachers and principals to provide academic and social-emotional support to students, helping them stay on track to graduate from high school prepared for college and career success.

Headshot of Board Member Dustin TollefsrudDustin Tollefsrud is Director of Customer Experience (CX) for the Mountain West Region at Comcast. In this role, Dustin leads and manages the strategy for our customer experience efforts across the region. He oversees all CX initiatives including elevations, customer callbacks, and key behaviors. Dustin’s responsibilities also include the ongoing leadership and management of strategic process efforts across the region, leading regional Net Promoter System activities. He also serves as a representative for Mountain West Region on the West Division Customer Experience team, working to drive customer-centric business strategy aimed at dramatically transforming the residential customer experience for the West Division鈥檚 $13 billion enterprise.

Headshot of Board Member Ann WilsonAnn Wilson is a nonprofit professional and a nonpracticing attorney. She is also the parent of a student who experienced the positive impact of 麻豆视频 Denver. She works at PEAK Parent Center, a nonprofit that supports families who have children with disabilities and works to advance the full inclusion of people with disabilities in their schools and communities. She has a range of experience, including corporate law and international business, and volunteers with a variety of community organizations.

鈥淚 have seen firsthand the incredible work of 麻豆视频 in our schools,鈥 said Wilson. 鈥淚t is an honor to support 麻豆视频 Denver as a board member as their AmeriCorps members deliver proven interventions to Denver鈥檚 students to impact real change in our communities.鈥

麻豆视频 AmeriCorps members tutor students one-on-one, provide support in classrooms (in-person or virtual), build students鈥 social-emotional learning skills and run afterschool programs. In Denver, 83% of DPS students who were coached by 麻豆视频 AmeriCorps members significantly improved on key interpersonal, social-emotional development competencies related to college and career readiness.
