On Friday, June 14th, 2024, �鶹��Ƶ DC celebrated the graduation of our dedicated 2024 AmeriCorps members. The event was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and impact on our community.

Opening Remarks Michael Stevens, our Senior Vice President and Executive Director, kicked off the ceremony with a heartfelt congratulation to our corps members. His words set a tone of pride and accomplishment for the entire event.

Awards and Honorees

• WilmerHale Innovation Award: Presented by Bethany Thomas, Associate at WilmerHale, this prestigious award was given to Casey Capsambelis for outstanding innovative contributions.
• Corps Speakers: Kelly Lee and Casey Beasley delivered inspiring speeches, reflecting on their journey and the difference they made during their service year.
• CYDC Alumni Association Award: Presented by Daria Leon, CYDC’s Alumni Representative and Manager of Strategic Partnerships at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, this award honored Zyah Anderson for her continued dedication to the CYDC community.

Special Awards

• Discipline Award: Recognizing exceptional discipline, awarded to Sarah Hoffman.
• Purpose Award: Given to Colette Kania & John Blue for his unwavering sense of purpose.
• Pride Award: Awarded to Jessie Davis for embodying pride in his service and community.
• Spirit Award: Presented to Samia Nash for their outstanding spirit and enthusiasm.

The event was a beautiful celebration of the accomplishments and the bright futures of our AmeriCorps members. We are incredibly proud of each one and excited to see the positive impact they will continue to make in the world.
