Widener University offers Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ AmeriCorps members, alums and staff
$5,000 scholarships
A $5,000/year scholarship will be awarded to ONE admitted Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ applicant for a full-time undergraduate program. This is renewable for up to four years.
Scholarships are awarded to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ staff employed for at least two years.
Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards depending on their academic strength.

- There is no application fee.
- A one-year deferral for students admitted to the program who decide to serve with Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ for an additional year.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Once you complete the application process (including submission of all required documents), you will typically be notified within two weeks. Successful completion of an interview with the Center for Civic and Global Engagement will be part of the application process.
