Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences offers Â鶹ÊÓƵ AmeriCorps members, alums and staff
$27,000-$36,000 scholarships
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Scholarship will be awarded to up to 10 recipients per year across the following programs:
- offers a scholarship valued at $36,000 ($18,000 per year for two years)
- offers a scholarship valued at $27,000 ($9,000 per semester)
- offers a scholarship valued at $27,000 ($9,000 per semester for three semesters)
Â鶹ÊÓƵ applicants will receive special consideration for all Mandel School scholarship aid, ranging from the partial-tuition scholarships listed above to the full-tuition .
Scholarships will be renewed each semester for the full duration of the award terms, provided that the student remains in good academic standing.
Scholarships are awarded to Â鶹ÊÓƵ AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and Â鶹ÊÓƵ staff employed for at least two years.

- There is no fee to apply.
- Enrollment deferral: Accepted students may defer enrollment up to one year if they decide to serve additional time with Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

To apply for the scholarship
To be considered for the scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with “Case Western Reserve University Mandel School” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and your AmeriCorps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent electronically by Â鶹ÊÓƵ to the admissions office and added to your applicant file.
