Go on! Start making a list of what you’re waiting for.

Permission?

Validation or confirmation?

Information?

An experience or event?

Cleaning up messy obstacles?

However, sometimes it’s not quite as straightforward as that.

Sometimes, we are waiting for a tipping point to move us from collecting information to acting on that information.

I believe that is why many of us read and read and read.  We are searching for that final bit of “a-ha” that pushes us into action.  Or maybe that’s what we think we’re searching for.

Often, ideas take time to ripen.  And to help them ripen, we continue to read and collect information.  This acts like the sunshine and rain to our ideas.  They become fleshed out, taking shape and texture and flavour.  Then there comes a time where the ideas need to be plucked or else they wither and die.

I think that we often incubate various ideas, reading all the while, and when we viscerally feel an idea to be ripe enough, regardless of what we are reading, we will begin to act on it, and possibly misattribute finally taking action to the text we were reading at the time.

Does this make sense?

I came across some profound information the other day – something that was a missing link in my thinking.  It had to do with the way we perceive ourselves – I’ve written on this previously, about priming.

Anyway, I’ve now come to understand that self image can change with self discipline.  With self discipline, you can reinvent yourself into anything you want.   So it’s not your PAST or your BACKGROUND that determines your future, so much as what it is that you are doing right now, with the consistent little steps you are taking.

Look at all the people who do have successful online businesses – they have put in an enormous amount of effort and learning and consistent action to get where they are today.  With consistent action you can transform your self and your life.

In our society, we are not put in touch with our deepest purpose. We are only shaped and encouraged to be a small cog in someone else’s engine.

However, I strongly believe that in the deepest part of each of us, there lives a dream, a passion, a creative expression that screams to be let out.

But society sedates us with television that put our brains into a trance, with junk foods that put our energy into a passive mode, with promises of job security or a promotion, with fear of not being able to pay our rent or mortgage.

Many people are too scared to dream of what they might achieve if allowed to do anything they wished.

We are actively discouraged to pursue our passion. “Don’t be a dreamer” is a common put-down. I heard that one a lot. Fortunately it doesn’t affect me very much these days. It helps to be stubborn, er, I mean determined.

My goal is to release and legitimise the dream that is within you. The exhilaration of doing what you just LOVE to do is the best excitement life can offer, in my humble opinion. Especially, if you can earn a good income from it, so that you can leave behind the toil of working for someone else, in a job that makes someone else’s dream come true.

Okay, I’m going to give you a VERY IMPORTANT lesson here.

Where you hurt, YOU NEED TO HEAL.

In your body, when you are wounded, it hurts like crazy. Pain has a purpose, which is to draw to your attention to the wound and to do something about it!

Emotionally, it is the very same principle. You have to take responsibility for where you’re vulnerable, and others can target you effortlessly.

Imagine you are a warrior, strong and fit, except for one weak area in your defenses. Do you think opponents will Continue reading »

… what have you been doing with yourself since they last saw you, just answer “Whatever I want” and leave it at that.

Never, never, never feel the need to apologise for, or to diminish what you have been doing.

You, as soul, have as much intrinsic power and purpose as those who attempt to lord it over you. You are, in every energetic way, equal. You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone. That finished when you left school.

As I’ve written before, your destiny is in your hands, and if you don’t like where you’re headed, you CAN change it.

The biggest factor in changing your destiny is educating yourself – either in skills, attitude, meditation, and so on.

Now, when you embark on a journey to bring your dream into reality, there will be enough resistances and obstacles to overcome, as you pull yourself out of the gravity of habit and expectations from family and friends.  Your faith in yourself is essential at this time, because doubt and fear often become self-fulfilling prophecies.

The birthing of your dream into reality may take you into some interesting landscapes that are almost guaranteed to move you beyond your comfort zone.  That’s a given.   So don’t give yourself an additional handicap by doing or going for a tarot reading or other clairvoyant session.

Having said that, if you do seek spiritual advice for your journey, I have found the Medicine Woman cards to be brilliant.  Rather than focusing on events, they tend to focus on personal and inter-personal dynamics , rather than on the drama of everyday life.  They can be very nicely used as a focal point for your personal introspective contemplations.  Angel cards would also serve this purpose.

So the difference is looking from the perspective of your higher journey, rather than your earthly dramas, which can sound daunting and discouraging.  Look at the following example as a case in point:

What if you came to me for a reading, and I saw that you were going to be involved in a plane crash.  But that you were going to survive, and actually be instrumental in saving the lives of almost everyone else.  That this would be a lesson for you to learn how heroic you can be, and how you can overcome all limitations with your sheer strength of will.

Now, do you REALLY think you’re going to hear any of my reading after I’ve said the words “Plane Crash”?

You’re probably going to be so sick with fear, and not be willing to go anywhere for a long time.  Your ego is hardly likely to be happy that you’re going to emerge a much more potent person at the end of this episode.

No.  Trust me when I say to trust your own higher wisdom.  It knows what it’s doing.  It knows what it wants to achieve in this life time.  Don’t try to second-guess it by going for a reading.  Chances are that you’ll get in your own way.
