destiny-vs-loa Image via Wordle

Don’t you just hate it when your destiny chart – be it Astrology, Numerology, Chinese BaZi or any other system – basically suggests you’ll be a plodder and toiler for the rest of your life.

And that when you read your yearly, monthly, daily forecasts, it seems that most of the time you’re against the tide of good fortune.  Especially if you think you’re a fairly aware person, and doing a lot of spiritual self-work to overcome personal resistance to success.

What do you do?  Just go back to bed and wait for end-of-life, hoping to reincarnate with a better destiny?

One of the reasons that I’m writing this blog is personal.  I have been a dreamer for all of my life.  Heck, I’m a Pisces with an Aquarius Moon, and Sagittarius Rising, so I really love living inside my head, where dreams, ideas and knowledge meet.  (For all you various chart makers out there, my DOB is 16 March (gulp) 1958, at 12.35 am, born in Germany.  And I’m female, if that makes a difference to your calculations.)

I am finding this one of THE great mysteries of life.  Should I even bother?  Am I destined to push boulders uphill for the rest of my life, like Sisyphus?

Your thoughts and comments are welcome.  This will be an ongoing topic for me, as I discuss it from all angles.

  1. I’m a Cancer with Aquarius rising & moon in Sagittarius, so I’m right there with ya. :) And that’s not all:

After the guy in the post above gave me the “bad” news, he said, “This is where you start.”

I don’t believe in destiny. I do believe very much in personal responsibility. Our chart makes us aware of the challenges and patterns and energy around – how we respond and take action in the face of them is completely up to us.

I’m grateful to have the awareness of my challenges because the more awareness I have, the more I can course-correct. I’m also learning that getting OUT of my head actually feels really good. :)

Thank you for sharing this! You have a wonderful blog!
