You always have multiple choices for any situation:

  1. You can do what you know is the right and good thing, even if it is hard
  2. You can do what you have always done, without even thinking about it
  3. You can do something in reaction to your emotions, out of spite, for instance
  4. You can do nothing – wait and see, or analysis paralysis
  5. You can do what someone else suggests
  6. You can do what a successful person recommends
